Turning the final page I was left feeling sad, emotionally drained, but mainly just relieved it was over. In the beginning, julisnna was a three-star read for me, but somewhere around page I got highly invested in the characters and finding out what happens to them, and after a few genuine surprise moments in the story and despite some obvious tells that I think were supposed to be surprisesI ended up hooked.
Julianna Baggott postulates a post-apocalyptic world that is the fevered vision of a madman in a dome. Multiple POVs is what we get again in Fuse total. The idea that the author has had could potentially have made a great story. One of the women has sloped shoulders, a curved spine.

I also could have done with a bit less romance. The relationships are all drawn realistically — the characters, whilst developing deep friendships and emotional attachments, spend their time concentrating on survival, discovery and important life events rather than angsting over this boy or that girl — still the emotional aspects of it are all the more meaningful because of that.
The only people that survived intact were in the Dome, a protected enclave of people now known as Pures. We want our son returned. For those of you unfamiliar with the Pure series, the books revolve around the pur of an apocalyptic event that almost destroyed the Earth. But something tells me that she will. Nuclear Winter Dark, sooty, barren, cold. The third book cannot come soon enough in my opinion! Imagine a world world people have objects embedded in their bodies. Pressia is a wretch. It took me about pages to really get into this book — much more baggogt it should have, of course.
